Here's a funky little building in Brighton, photographed for no particular reason.

Here's a funky little building in Brighton, photographed because it reminds me of a David Bowie record.

Julie was stoked to see this piece of street art since she has a print by this artist, Sprite.

Oh boy, we've found where the leather men hang out.

I took a second look at this building since I thought the windows were lovely. Then I noticed the decorations in the third story window on the left. To each his own, but I think that big white cocks in windows are a decorating don't.

This crazy place, the royal pavilion, was originally a private retreat for King George IV (my God, the decadence of the royalty). It was built between 1787 and 1823. Queen Victoria sold the pavilion to the city of Brighton in 1850. Since then, the pavilion has been many things, such as a museum, library, and public assembly place. During WW1, it was used as a military hospital. Now, it is a major tourist attraction.

The pavilion is over the top, both in size and design.

Maybe, now, Brighton is making some money off of this joint. It's just so hard for me to imagine that the pavilion was once a pleasure palace for a king who had a number of palaces — including Windsor Castle.

Here we are in the lanes of Brighton. There are some really fine jewelry shops in this area and Julie peeked at a few things but didn't find anything too tempting.

Before we left Brighton, Julie found a bunny to boop.
