Furniture and art critiques aside, the Sonoran Sky Resort was a helluva upgrade from Tuscon's Clifton Hotel.

Hot tubs. An uninterrupted ocean view. Chaise lounges in the shade of palms. Elevators to our suite a short walk away. There's much to love here.

No thanks! I'm more "hot-tub" than I am "shoot-through-a-little-tube-to-be-unceremoniously-dumped-in-a-pool-before-a-row-of-reclining-vacationers".

This is more like it. Julie and I spent a fair amount in the hot tub, pictured here, between strolls the beach.

Dang, if you're looking for a relaxing ocean experience, the Sonoran Sky Resort delivers.

Early February is off-season for Puerto Penasco and the Sonoran Sky. I quite enjoyed having this place almost to ourselves. — Peter

The dudes behind the bar are seated in water. There's a pool back there.
