The colors of the southwest were a marvelous change from the gray winter palette that we'd left back in Minneapolis.

Our choice of meals throughout the trip was, as it ought to be, foods from the southwest.

A poster on this bar's wall features El Borracho (the drunkard). And there, on the right side of the bar, sits El Borracho in the flesh.

Very near our hotel, a home's front yard featured a delightful collection of critter statuary. This photo doesn't show the half of it.
This lovely church, in the Spanish style, was on the street that we walked repeatedly on our way to the center of the city.

Another feature on our walk from the Clifton was this colorful faux-floral arch. Julie demonstrates the size of this thing.

This angular building served as a marker for Congress and South Stone — key streets that we walked between the Clifton and downtown.
