It's almost criminal that we spent only a few hours at the V&A. Days, or weeks, would be necessary to properly explore this spectacular museum. In the future, we must return to London and the V&A to atone for our fast pace on this trip.

We made our way to Julie's old place of employment, the National Portrait Galley. Good Lord, what a gig she had during her London years. The Gallery, the neighborhood, the walking and lunch spots all around — positively dreamy!

And here is my darling, standing in front of the National Portrait Gallery's gift shop. She was the buyer and product-development manager for the shop when she worked here in the late nineties and early aughts.

This is the Design Museum, and my experience here was much like the experiences at Liberty London and the V&A — I enjoyed the beauty of the structures as much as I enjoyed the objects they contained.

Like Liberty London, the Design Museum featured a center atrium.

I prefererred the Design Museums light wood and clean, uncluttered, spaces to Liberty London's dark wood and busy carvings. Although, I'm not saying I wasn't completely wowed by Libery London.

I preferred the Design Museums exposed concrete supports to the V&A's marble, columns, and arches. Although, I'm not saying that the V&A isn't absolutely stunning. It's just that I find austere, modern spaces to be very calming.
