On our third night, we'd dressed to dine out, but a thunderstorm kept us in so we returned to the hotel's rooftop restaurant.

There were no crickets in our dishes this night. I did, however, order another fruity mescal cocktail.

On our final night, we made our way to the famous Cafe De Tacuba for a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

Glass and tile glam, white jacketed servers, a mariachi band — Cafe De Tacuba is certainly a more-is-more kind of place.

I found Cafe De Tecuba to be overly bright and unsettlingly busy, and this was before the mariachi band fired up!
