Tucked between the Labrador and Norwegian Seas, Iceland certainly qualifies as remote.

Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital, is located roughly on the southwest coast of the island nation.

Though it is the largest city in Iceland, Reykjavik's population is just 120,000. The population of the entire nation is under 400,000.

The honeymoon begins in earnest even before leaving the Minneapolis airport. The newlyweds fortify with beer and wine.

This is what cute, old, newlyweds look like as they embark on their honeymoon.

Once they became aware of our newlywed status, the Iceland Air crew indulged us with champagne and sweets.
